Gene was born in Belarus and Elena was born in Russia and now they both reside in Minneapolis, MN. Something you may find interesting about them is that they have 3 kids. 

Gene started dancing at the age of 11, his mother forced him into it and shortly after he fell in love with dance. Elena grew up in a dance family, where her mother was a professional ballroom dancer and her family owns 2 dance competitions and 1 dance studio in Russia. 

Both Gene and Elena used to compete in international Latin with their previous partners, for over 20 years. After so many years competing in latin, both dancers took the initiative to switch to American Rhythm. Once Gene and Elena started dancing rhythm they fell in love with this style.

Gene and Elena met in 2008, when they both joined world renowned dance show “Burn the Floor”. Shortly after they fell in love, got married, and had their first child. Only after this they started dancing professionally together.

Gene and Elena own “Dance with us America” a studio located in Edina, MN. They continue to train with the best coaches money can buy and their studio has trained 13 USA Latin and Ballroom dance champions.

As a couple Gene and Elena are brand new to the Professional Rhythm category. They have been successful enough to have already won multiple competitions and been in all the major finals. They are also proud to share that  they have trained numerous dancers who have been featured on Dancing with the stars, So You Think You Can Dance, World of Dance, and NBC`s I Can Do That. 

Gene and Elena’s goal is to be a top rated professional rhythm couple. They hope to inspire other dancers to reach for the dreams and achieve all there goals.
