Artem Belmeha & Anna Shevchenko
Artyom Belmega is originally from Poltava, Ukraine, where his dance career developed before he formed his partnership with Anna Shevchenko. His early years as a dancer were shaped by a strong commitment to training and competing, eventually leading him to build a partnership that would take him across Europe and, later, to the United States. A major turning point came after he and Anna began dancing together in 2016, when Artyom relocated to Kyiv to make their demanding training schedule possible. Their partnership quickly produced encouraging results, and they began competing at major events throughout Europe. After approximately a year and a half together, Artyom received an opportunity to move to the USA. Although the move temporarily separated the couple, their eventual reunion reinforced the importance of their partnership and motivated them to pursue their professional career together.
Anna “Anuta” Shevchenko is from Kyiv, Ukraine, where she developed her career as a competitive dancer before partnering with Artyom. Her dedication to dance led her to compete extensively, both throughout Ukraine and internationally, and she embraced the demanding lifestyle required to train and compete at major events. In March 2016, Anna began her partnership with Artyom, creating a new chapter in her career. Because Artyom lived in Poltava, while Anna was based in Kyiv, the couple initially faced the challenge of coordinating training across different cities. They found a way to make the partnership work, and just two weeks after beginning to dance together, they entered their first tournament and with strong results. Their temporary separation later became an important personal and professional lesson, strengthening Anna’s appreciation for their partnership when they reunited.
When Artyom and Anna began dancing together on in 2016, they began competing immediately and then went on to pursue opportunities across Europe and beyond, competing at the UK Championships, Blackpool, International Championships, Disney Paris, Assen, Mannheim, and tournaments throughout Ukraine. After Artyom moved to the United States, they experienced a temporary separation before reuniting a year later. That break ultimately strengthened their commitment to one another. Upon Anna’s arrival in the USA, they returned to training and transitioned from amateur competition to the professional level. Today, they are based in the United States, where they continue pushing themselves, sharing their passion for dance, and bringing energy and smiles to audiences.
